A relentless drought and sweltering temperatures drop water levels to their lowest point in decades, and access to the best honey holes in the swamp are nearly impassable. Facing the prospect of losing thousands of dollars, hunters take huge risks to fill tags. King of the Swamp Troy Landry calls in help from veteran hunter Bruce Mitchell, whose special boat and motor allow him access to the shallowest sloughs. But Bruce is soon confronted by a massive roadblock.
