i decided after last week that i wouldn't bother with the low-res copies
anymore. those 720p versions are unbelievable, and i like it that they're using
.mkv - it means i can actually get them without busting my quota.

i've been trying to get in contact with ctu too, but i can't find any webpage or
forum that they might be on. if there's any way to bring the 720p copies back,
i'd be interested to hear it.

also, i noticed that someone released a 720p copy of the whole first season! it
will take a few months for me to download it (i hate download limits), but it
sounds amazing.

anyone wondering about the 720p version, might want to know:
on tuesdays, sky one hd (uk) airs battlestar galactica.

i'm guessing this week the group missed the scifi's hd airing, got fed up with
the degenerating comments about their mkv work or decided to switch channels for
ripping... (or got killed for uploading commercial content on a free-for-all
system. sadly the law supports this horrible corporate nonsense)

and let's face it... scifi has some frakked up commercial bannering during their
airings. personally, i loath large purple banners talking about the next 'who
wants to be a superhero' nonsense while amidst a space battle.

let's hope the good suppliers of hd content rip sky one's airing of hd bsg.


on a final note: let's stay positive in our commenting on free stuff, shall we?
all is created by people who walk a fine line concerning legal pc usage. after
all, they are the ones that will be facing jail-time or heavy fines, whilst the
entire world basically crucifies them again and again for every glitch and sync
issue in their work!
they do this for free, never ask and never show themselves!

can anyone imagine the day all pirates stop their work?
personally, i think it would frakking s*ck!

pretty crappy encoding this season, i think i'll download the x264 versions in
future...too much bluey flash/flicker going on in dark areas due to poor encoding
i have no issues with other shows using same codec, eg this weeks smallville is
a perfect example, perfect encoding there...so unless its actually the source
which looks like that.
also using k-lite/mpc and know what im doing so dont reply telling me theres
nothing wrong with it, because i know what im seeing and im not imagining it!
oh well, its the final season so i will buy the 4 season box set when its
released and enjoy it all again


as for the lame comments, as usual from ill informed americans with bad
taste....there is nothing lost-esque about this show (not that lost is bad
either lol) and you know what? i am getting tired of reading all this crap from
people saying "they should do this or that" etc blah blah blah, if youre so
fracking amazing go and make a show yourself, otherwise stop complaining it's
not done the way you would do it.


pps nothing wrong with my hardware mate...like i said, no problem with other
shows.....besides this sort of thing is usually codec related so...
