ivtc means inverse telecine - basically cleaning up a crappy ntsc and
converting it from 29fps to 23.

not trying to start a flame war, but lol has been messing up a lot this week.
i'm just sick of people ripping on notv when they messing up little, like they
suck or something. people should just get it though their skulls that encoding
is really hard to do and they don't have a lot of time to check the file, at
less not before some ass start bitching about how long it's takes to release the
show if it's not out in a half an hour after the show aired.

definitely agreed. they're doing this voluntarily, for free....on their own
time, and at their own risk. stop complaining people.

all the groups seem to have "bad hair" days (or weeks even) and every group
seems to have its fair share of loyal fans and crazed hate groups. it also
depends on which shows you download whether you happen to encounter the problems.
i do find it strange that some weeks a show (even the insnanely popular shows
you'd imagine every group is capping and rushing to be first) is out within an
hour of finishing and other weeks it may take four or four hours, sometimes
longer - and there will often be a lot of posts asking if anyone know why it's
late. simply asking about it though is a lot different than those people who
actually start bitching as theleoandtherat described.

look, i know it takes time to encode but i'm sure as hell that i can get a
release out in an hour or so that it takes them to put up a release.
i record my own tv shows because i'm not always home. i have an hd tuner and i
record flawless transport streams. when i get back, it takes a few minutes to
cut the commercials out and then bam. i'm ready. i don't get why people screw
up so badly with tv shows and stuff.
i don't see how hard it is to get a clean hd release. i'm not the only one
with an hd tuner. i know that if i were part of a release group or something i
would have people as backups doing multiple recordings so they can release the
one that comes out first.
i don't agree with piracy, but honestly, i could do a better job. my own
heroes and lost recordings are definitely flawless. i start my recordings with
the black screen before an image fades in. i don't get how people cut so many
corners that their rips start in the middle of the sentence of something
like "previously on heroes" or "previously on 24." is it that hard to rewind a
few seconds and start at the black screen just like i cut my own tv recordings
for myself?
good god. i know they're doing this for free and voluntarily. honestly, i
could do a better job, but i don't have the bandwidth, and since i watch my
own shows and record them on my own, i'm not about to supply them to you guys.

it's not that simple they not only record the ts and cut the commercials
they also have to reencode it to xvid,generate the nfo ,make the sample,rar the
avi,name the files and folder after that the files are uploaded to a # of f t p s
and only then it is released.
and all this doesn't take 1h for example this file was released at around 21:35
and the show airs at 21 (ofc it got here later but the actual releace was at 9:35)
