hi,
i've set up my filters in utorrent and they work fine for 12 series .
but for some reason they don't pick up the daily show and colbert report.
i have about 10 feeds from various sites.
is there something i'm not doing right?

yeap.i have the smart ep. unchecked like it says in the tutorial but it still
doesn't pick it up.
i even tried to put the name of the torrent ( i.e tds instead of "the daily
show",just colbert instead of the colbert report) in my filter box but still
nothing.

looking at the way some of the recent episode names are getting decoded by
utorrent, it's trying to treat the date as part of the show title.
modifying your filters to the daily show* & the colbert report*
should do the trick.

that actually did the trick for me.
only one difference. instead of the colbert report* which didnt work i put
*colbert* and it picked everything up.

interesting.
"the colbert report*" worked for me on the tvrss & bt-chat feeds.
which of your feeds needed "*colbert*" ?
(so i can go and poke around to see if they introduce any different naming
conventions that will require modifying regexes)

well for some reasons the one's from tvrss needed *colbert*
maybe they would have worked with
"the colbert report*" if i waited a bit.
i just clicked on the "?" (last matches e.t.c) and nothing came up and then when
i tried *colbert* i got results.
