not sure about you guys but when i first started downloading... first via newsgroups, then via irc and then via torrents... i actually took the time to learn things about the downloads (such as filename abbreviations for example) myself so i knew what the hell i was about to download (or not) and i managed to do it without asking silly questions. |

for those who don't know... battlestar doesn't air in hd in north america, until it hits re-runs on nbc universal. so the previous releases have been dsr (digital satellite rips), which is quite inferior to hdtv. skyone in the uk airs battlestar in hd, but started airing season three when north america was at season three, episode 12 (or thereabouts). hence the gap between the hdtv releases and the dsr releases. the "hr" in this release stands for half resolution, as they are half the resolution of a 720p hd broadcast. you can find 720p versions of these on the newsgroups and some torrent sites. aside from the 720p release, the hr releases are the best quality and play nice on a modded xbox (the first xbox). |

i'm sorry guys, i don't check forums for stuff i'm not keen on downloading. since i download the eps that are up to 03x30 i had no idea what was going down here. i'm sure you get a lot of newbies, but give a guy a break. it's easier to write 'yes' tha 'here we fucking go again' or 'let him find out for himself'. thanks alot to the person(s) verifying it. |

does anybody have any public torrents for other s3 hr (or 720p) releases? i've only been able to find 01/02, 08, 12, 13. obviously 14 and higher arent out yet, but the rest would be nice. i found 11 on mininova but its in there twice and once at 1,47 gb and 08 is not even a double episode, or is it? andybody? |

i only have 1-2, 8, 10-13 in hr.hdtv have found these through a combination of searchng many torrent sites, including some private ones and i have also subscribed to a usenet service now, as the availability of decent hr.hdtv releases on the torrent scene has been very inconsistent for bsg and my other favourite shows recently if you are not aware, you can get everything in usenet, but only for about 20 days after release on average best thing is to go to a site like orlydb.com which lists the release names only and then yuo can search for them in google. |

thanks for your answer. yeah i know about usenet, but you have to pay :-( i have also tried searching many diff sites, but usualy they all list the same. i just found 17 and 20 as hr hdtv but those are obviously fakes, lol. i'll try to get 10 and 11 somehow. could you comment on the filesize of your e11 file? i found these two over on mini: http://www.mininova.org/tor/621343 http://www.mininova.org/tor/619690 one being 1,4 gigs, so i don't know, is that 10 and 11 combine or something? |
