how can it be cancelled so soon? we should start a campaign to salvage this
series.

unfortunately its met the same fate as such other shows, "threat matrix", "the
grid", "over there", and others...

just the wrong timing is most likely the cause....the geopolitical climate,
various foreign affairs issues etc...

just my 1/10 of a cent worth... from a canadian perspective eh?

damn only 8 episodes? that sucks, i really hope they give it a proper ending and
not a cliffhanger that will never will be concluded.

wtf is with these guys always canceling my favorite shows?
[#44282] Written by: MithrandirBo [06/07/2007, 18:16]
this sounded (and was) really interesting at first. the first 2 episodes had me
hooked.

but i don't know what happened then, because it got kind of boring and hard to
follow, and i didn't even notice there wasn't an episode on this week.

so i dunno. i'm kind of neutral about this news. i would rather they cancel big
brother/pirate master/survivor, etc instead of this, but i can't say i'm sad.

i was really interested in this show, but only caught an episode just the other
night. watched half and hour or so and only remember two guys driving right to
where anyone with common sense wouldn\'t drive. didn\'t really impress me much.

the problem is they keep launching shows that circle around a huge mystery, so
if you\'re not invested right from the beginning, it\'s hard to pick up, and if
you miss one show, you lose the storyline. same reason the nine was canceled
(interesting to see if back...will anyone remember the first episodes?)

aaah...bad news..i really hooked to traveler. looks like all good series got
cancelled lately... what's the point to do shows ? i think rather doing one good
movie of subject instead of doing 8-22 parts.

don't the us companies who make these programs do any market research before
going ahead and making half a series?.... i am really fed up with shows
being cancelled after a few episodes....

*cry*

so little to watch and they cancel a good show like this.

if burn notice gets cancelled i'm throwing the lap top in the bin cos there
won't be any use for it anymore.

i figured this was going to happen. traveler is this year's "daybreak". at least
they had the decency to finish that one up and release the episodes on the internet.

so does this end on a cliffhanger then. ive downloaded them all but not
watched them yet. i wont bother if they dont finish off the story.

i've just heard about this series and i was looking forward to watch it; it
seems interesting, but .. all the good shows are always canceled.

if the networks wonder why people don't bother with them anymore, it's because
of crap like this. what's the point of investing our time with their shows if
they're just going to dump them after just a few episodes? i'm in the us &
thanks to eztv, i have learned the pleasure of superior uk programming.
[#44640] Written by: God [09/07/2007, 08:56]
superior and uk in the same sentence? sorry.. uk programming, at least in my
opinion, is not superior to us.

i liked this show. i'll miss it, but i've seen better shows than this cancelled,
so i can't say i'm surprised. i think the networks don't give new shows enough
of a chance before cancelling them.

they put a lot of good new shows in bad time slots. then they move them around
so viewers don't know when they're on and miss them. they also air them
irregularly, or let local stations show something else in their place. and of
course, they don't leave them on for at least one whole season to try to build
up a following.

it's no wonder so many people have cable these days. it offers you more options
to find something halfway decent to watch. even then, it's still hard to find a
good show.

as for uk programming, you don't have to make it into a contest for which
country's programming is "superior". there are still a few good us shows, and
there are good uk shows too. you don't have to choose just one, why not watch
the best of both? my only complaint with uk programming is they consider 6
episodes a whole season. i would prefer at least 22 episodes a season.

the uk has some good shows, though. hustle, primeval, life on mars, jekyll, and
3 lbs. (unfortunately cancelled). and they gave us doctor who. not to mention
all the british comedy shows like monty python, fawlty towers, are you being
served?, good neighbours, keeping up appearances, one foot in the grave, the
goodies, doctor in the house, and so many others.

right now there's a very good show in australia--sea patrol. i've caught 4
episodes of it so far, and i'm hooked. that's one of the best things about
downloading shows, you can watch programming you like, regardless of where it's
from. the best of many worlds.
