as an owner of both an ipod and an iphone, and seeing that sony psp, xbox 360, and itunes (as well as
apple tv) and is also supported on all operating systems, what do you all think of hosting or starting to
create and linking to h.264 files in addition to divx files? if this question has somehow been asked 50
times and the reason is in some faq i have yet to find, i apologize in advance...

h.264 is only used for 720p encodes by the scene, and because eztv can only
distribute what is released by the scene (read the faq), don't expect 350mb (for
a 40min show) h.264 releases.

plus, most people encode to dvd or burn to cd/dvd and watch using a divx
player. a very small minority want to watch a tv show on an ipod, iphone or a psp.

ebernet as your google skills are not up to it.
i sent a pm of the massive site that does only mp4 for ipod - iphone, but you can't hit and run on that
site. by the way, you missed the biggest mp4 player off your list the ps3.
a scene group is releasing the biggest films only as mp4 at 500mb instead of 1.3gb.

k4rm4 isn't scene
ipodnova is a popular ipod site

its pathetic these things play x264 but not xvid which is older just simply
because apple has nothing to do with the making of it.
