i have a portable hdd media player that i use while travelling. it's a great toy but it seems that many of the torrents i have downloaded recently don't work in the video mode. not sure if many of you are familiar with these things but they can play on your computer but also have a cable to hook up to the video inputs on a tv or vcr etc. while the files all play fine on the computer, some of them don't get recognised by the player when hooked up to a video. anyone else have this kind of problem? i have already tried converting the files to a number of different formats and still no luck. any ideas? |

if you told us what player you had it would help allot like i have the cowon a2 which is awesome for my bus rides and it runs just about everything except hr files cause it has a max resolution. check that your files resolutions are not to high. |

hey i dunno if anyone here can help me with this but i thought id post and see. i'm new to this, so i "downloaded" or whatever you call it, a couple episodes of a show off here, but when i go to play them, they only play as audio files not video files. my friend says it has something to do with not having the right type of player to play the file. ive tried winamp and windows media, does anyone know what i need to do in order to watch the show not just listen to it? thannnnks |

you will need the xvid video codec to view the video portion. go here: http://www.digital-digest.com/software/getdownload.php?sid=1052&did=1 learn about xvid here: http://www.xvid.org/xvid-video.3.0.html |

sorry, forgot to add that once you install that codec you should be able to use windows media player (or winampif you prefer) to view the video. |
