good news about moonlight. that series is really well done, and i like the lead
actors and the overall tone of the show. re that laughlin thing, never saw it
but heard nothing but horrible reviews .. prolly good riddance.

both series deserve an early death. moonlight's pilot was nearly as unwatchable
as viva!'s and it hasn't gotten better. guess you can still build a fan base if
you throw a bloodsucker in the cast. its like a mixture of forever knight,
angel and some highlander with all the good points removed.

moonlight sports good acting and good writing. it isn't impressed with itself
and doesn't think it deserves the world as an audience because it's 'breaking
new ground'. it's an honest little show and deserves a loyal audience for at
least this season and probably several more. there is chemistry between the two
amglosphere actors.
laughlin on the other hand sported acceptable acting but when the writing's so
bad the best acting in the world won't help unless the actors have enormous
presence, which they did not. moreover, how did melanie griffith sprout *tusks*
so fast? she's longer in the tooth than a walrus in heat. i felt embarased for
her in that silly, chintsy role.
i suspect the laughlin folks are impressed with themselves (listen: there was
song! yay, we're so kewl) and are now bending over backwards to tell anyone who
will listen that the american audience is too dumb to understand a superior show
like laughlin.
