after last years fiasco with the split season this is good news but it was the
last sentence that intrigued me:
"in other news - eureka has been renewed for a third season and no decision
has yet been made whether to renew 'flash gordon'."
does this mean they actually think flash gordon has a future or is it just too
embarassing to can it so soon?

good to here eureka was renewed i love it, but flash can drop off the world i hate that show.
as for atlantis and the ratings perhaps things for the network wouldnt be as bleak if they hadn't canceled
one of their longest running successes (sg1)... i mean from what i recall it was in the same relm of ratings
as their current shows but definitly towards the higher side (i think higher than atlantis at some episodes)
no but stupid a$$ scifi wants to bring us crap like more wrestling

eureka's second season was sci fi channel's highest premiere rating this year
(with a 2.1), and their highest rated series. they simply had to renew it hehe.
as for atlantis, twas to be expected. and flash... i can see them renewing it
simply because they've got nothing else left lol. flash, eureka and atlantis
are their only original scripted series' still active, and atlantis is produced
by mgm...

actually just about every season since season 5 was supposed to be the last
one for sg-1, i think it was less a matter of cancellation than just coming to
a natural end, aprt from the movies of course.
as far as flash gordon goes they should just cut it and give the budget to
something else, okay not a huge amount of money but some decent scripting can
work wonders and almost anything has to be an improvement. i think sci-fi is
also falling victim to the fact that people with sf and fantasy ideas can now
approach the major networks and get taken seriously where a few years ago sci-
fi would have been their first stop.

dresden was significantly better than flash g!
i can't believe they are considering keeping flash, it's such trash... find another original series from one of
your writers because if it's another sci-fi reality show you deserve to fail.

sg atlantis is one the best scifi shows i've seen in a while. it actually
renewed my interest in tv again plus i think sg1 played itself out... time for
new blood! heres to hoping surface gets continued...
