i posted this info over at fireflyfans.net and was told that that site is over
2 years old and is largely discredited by the fandom. sad hey. i was
salivating at the prospect of more firefly. very definitely my most favourite
show ever.

nice idea, if a network offered this [other than fox] i reckon nathan would
take it, he would be the lead rather than just a periphery character. if it
was resurrected [no chance but its nice to dream] then they better disregard
the kak that was used in the movie and go back to the story from the tv show

this site is legit, but they've been working for it for a couple of years. i
signed up over a year ago. joss is supportive, as is most of the cast, of
returning to the show for this kind of venue. they would not have to give up
current gigs in order to do an episodic or online-release series. the problem
comes down to funding it and providing enough revenue to keep it rolling and
make the comeback worthwhile. joss has stated that he will "never give up on
firefly." this would be a new way of distributing media, so the details would
take time.
doesn't hurt to sign the petition!

heard a rumor (though it was a while ago) that joss intended to revisit the
firefly universe after he got the ball rolling on dollhouse, though i believe
that it was talk about a film sequal...
would be nice to have it back but only if they got all the original cast
members back for it otherwise it would decend into just another fanflick, and
see as adam, nathan and jewel have regular gigs (chuck, desperate housewives
and stargate atlantis) i think this is probably just wishfull thinking

i'm surprised joss can't swing at least a tv movie. i mean, almost everything
he does is succesful (even comics: wouldn't mind seeing a film of fray)
although i hated firefly to start with it really grew on me (like athletes
foot) and the film was great.
