new amsterdam bumped to midseason in favor of don't forget the lyrics! fox's don't forget the lyrics! experiment is proving to be one of the network's best moves, as the karaoke-style competition is hitting the right tune with viewers. the show has muscled its way into fox's fall lineup as part of a newly minted game show night, following the antics of jeff foxworthy and schoolchildren in the quiz show are you smarter than a 5th grader? both hour-long shows will air on thursday nights, with 5th grader taking the 8 p.m. slot. adding lyrics to the lineup caused a chain reaction with the rest of fox's schedule. moving out of the thursday slot will be kitchen nightmares, the reality-based restaurant show starring celeb chef gordon ramsay. viewers will now have nightmares on wednesdays at 9 p.m, bumping bones over to tuesdays at 8 p.m. this leads to the biggest change of all. the odd man out is new amsterdam, a new drama set to premiere this fall. the show, which follows a new york city homicide detective blessed/cursed with immortality, will now be held back until midseason. the revised fox fall lineup is below: monday (as of september 17) 8:00-9:00 p.m. prison break 9:00-10:00 p.m. k-ville tuesday (as of september 25) 8:00-9:00 p.m. bones 9:00-10:00 p.m. house wednesday (as of september 19) 8:00-8:30 p.m. back to you 8:30-9:00 p.m. 'til death 9:00-10:00 p.m. kitchen nightmares thursday (as of september 6) 8:00-9:00 p.m. are you smarter than a 5th grader? 9:00-10:00 p.m. don't forget the lyrics! friday (as of september 14) 8:00-9:00 p.m. are you smarter than a 5th grader?
