at least we get to see the rest of the eps, unlike the other
networks.

thank god the horror will come to an end, for humanities sake.

on the other hand :-
"the strong friday premiere of another sci fi series based on a comic
strip, "flash gordon," which scored the channel

i really tried watching this show. it was boring and the stories were bad. can't
wait for bsg to return.

scifi, good luck with the new flash gordon, you'll need all the luck you can
muster because you ain't got skill.

well... this isn't really a surprise. painkiller jane is a masochists dream -
i'm not sure why i submitted myself to the torture of this show for as long as i
did. and if in fact the brief for flash gordon was to make a show that would
appeal to people who truly hate themselves, then scifi have outdone themselves.
myself, i think i might go dig up some reruns of sliders.

i hope they pick up keifer sutherland's phenonenon pilot to replace painkiller
jane

flash gordon literally put me to sleep. i fell asleep about 20minutes in, woke
up 3hrs later lol. this was at 3pm on a sunday - not 2 in the morning lol.

eureka still holds the strongest premiere this year though with a 1.95 hh
rating. since then it's averaging 1.6something. 1.67 for ep 2, 1.66 for ep 3,
1.62 for ep 4. eureka's kicking everything else's butt hehe. and rightly
so-eureka rocks!

lol ya flash gordon got huge numbers because of the name its also gonna see a huge week to week loss
if you look at the reviews and how bad the pilot was

wish they'd give dresden another chance, despite some iffy
moments that series
at least has massive potential, the strength of the books aside even. i still
don't understand why they ordered a 22 episode run of jane to begin with when
eureka only got half that.

dresden well the books were gd but the show was very badly done same goes for
painkiller jane. from the start was guessing it would endup like this. would
rather sci fi film more bsg or remake firefly than waste money on this kinda shows

i'd personally like to see dresden files back.

i've been watching painkiller jane through its entire run so far, an while it is
cheesy in parts, extremely formulaic, and not as good as its basis, i was still
entertained. however, i totally saw this coming.

most of the episodes involve someone getting in trouble (rotating between jane,
connor, and riley) and the rest of the team coming in to save the day. several
times now, there have been instances where one of the members of the team
thought that everyone else was dead (or something of that nature), only for
everything to turn around at the end of the episode, and end up being not real
(neuro messing with their minds or something).

overall, really, this sorta thing is the type of quality i've come to expect
from scifi (ie, crap), with shows like bsg and eureka more or less being flukes.
still, this cancelation narrows down the shows i like and watch on scifi anymore
(being, exactly 2, eureka and battlestar galactica). even shows that they pick
up from other networks, they tend to ruin (sliders).

i knew this show would die once they wrote out allana huffman.

flash gordon will die too. (soon hopefully)

i'm not exactly surprised, more disappointed that the role wasn't given to a
better actress. though the writing wasn't exactly great either, a better lead
might have been able to give the show more credibility.

and when i read that comment about a strong premiere of flash gordon my first
thought was "that's only coz no-one had actually seen it yet". i'm planning to
force myself to give it one more episode in the hopes it'll be better but that's
it. having recently had a root canal it's strange i'd prefer another one to
rewatching the pilot episode.

i prefered dresden to both painkiller jane and flash - it didn't live up to the
books but was improving each episode (unlike jane) - but eureka's the best of
the three shows imo. the budget for some of the effects they use may have
something to do with the shorter run of that show though.

no way! cancelled?! are they insane...to have waited this long?

what total carnage it was.

some of my fav parts (in no real order) were:

jane brushing her teeth whilst wearing only a push up bra and jiggling her
boobs about just to increase ratings. (that has me in hysterics it's so awful)

the lesbo episode - just to increase ratings. (pr0n, man)

the acting by pooterg33k-nasty hair that was so wooden it reminded me i needed
a new cheapo side table from ikea.

however...what the hell are we all going to moan about now? *remembers* of
course.

flush gordon. what a steaming pile of dog poo that is. i mean, i never thought
they could out do painkiller, but ep 1 of that? wow. put those writers in that
wood chipper from fargo, someone.

p.s. bring back dresden files.
p.p.s. and veronica mars.

it is truely sad having so many ignorant people forumed in one place and on one
topic. what is worse is the individual who posted the news cap on this series.
this series was never going to go beyond 22 episodes which means it isn't being
canceled but coming to an end. as for the comparison between pkj and the dresdan
files both shows had their good points, however the dresdan files didn't draw or
hold the viewership like pkj has. now as for the 22 episodes of pkj i think is a
very good choice by the creator to tell a story and move on. most tv series are
like aging atheletes everyone is waiting for something great to happen and it
never does.
